Do your eucalyptus silk products smell like eucalyptus?
No. Even though our products are made from natural, renewable eucalyptus, they do not have any botanical scents. Aside from smelling brand new out of the box, the only thing you will smell is the detergent you wash them in. To maintain the eco-friendliness of our products, we recommend using a bio-based laundry detergent and chlorine-free bleach.
Why don’t you offer any colors?
Along with fertilizers and pesticides, textile dyes are among the biggest contributors to water pollution, and we are not convinced by so-called “low impact” dyes or natural dyes, which have their own environmental and health issues. For more information, please visit our Why Only White page.
Why should I wash my sleepmōd® products before using them?
Eucalyptus silk is a natural fiber made from botanical material. When it is spun into thread and then into fabric, it will naturally be a little bit stiff (like a brand new cotton t-shirt) and therefore requires a sort of “break-in period.” After you wash it when you receive it and over the course of the first two weeks, you will notice the fabric fibers relax more and more and get softer and softer. Eucalyptus silk actually gets softer over time when washed properly.
What are the washing instructions and can you give me any eco-friendly tips?
Get the longest life out of your new eucalyptus silk bedding by following our simple washing instructions. We recommend using a bio-based detergent like the one from Dirty Labs® and chlorine-free bleach, which are nontoxic and better for the environment. Some other eco-friendly tips include: 1.) To dry your comforter more efficiently, use several wool balls to help create space within the folds of the comforter. Stop the cycle halfway, remove the lint from the filter, remove your comforter from the dryer and re-position it in the dryer so that the wet spots are facing out. Then resume the cycle. 2.) To help remove stains, prior to washing, dab the stains with either hydrogen peroxide or diluted chlorine-free bleach, which is essentially the same thing. Let it sit on the stains for 20-30 minutes prior to washing. 3.) Bio-based or enzyme-based detergents work best in cool to lukewarm water. Not only are they more effective at lower temps, using cooler water reduces your emissions and extends the life of your products.
IF I SHOULDN’T USE CHLORINE BLEACH, HOW DO I GET STAINS OUT OF MY ECO-WHITE® BEDDING?
If you have any tough stains on our eucalyptus silk bedding, dilute chlorine-free bleach in a ratio of 3 parts water to 1 part chlorine-free bleach. Then liberally douse the stain(s) in the diluted chlorine-free bleach and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes. Then wash as normal. This trick works best if the stain is caught and treated early. We have also had success with rubbing hydrogen peroxide directly into the stain before washing.
What is your shipping and returns policy?
All items ship out within just 2-24 hours from receiving your order. Standard shipping within the 48 contiguous states typically takes just 3-7 business days from receipt of the order. Express shipping typically takes just 2-3 business days. In either case, we do not guarantee specific ship times. We provide free domestic returns (excluding Hawaii & Alaska) within 180 days of the purchase date. We do not offer free shipping and free returns to and from Hawaii, Alaska, or other countries. Due to our cost to provide free shipping and our wholesale discount, we do not offer returns or refunds of any kind for wholesale orders.

International customers are responsible for paying the shipping cost, import duties and VAT (value added tax) of their home country, which are all conveniently calculated at checkout, so there are no surprise fees at the time of delivery. Our shipping algorithms will always find the lowest shipping rate for you so that you pay as little as possible in shipping fees for your order while ensuring your order will be delivered by a high-quality, reliable carrier. With "DDP" (delivery duties paid) shipping conveniently calculated at checkout, you not only see the total cost upfront before placing the order, but you also will not have to pay again when the parcel is delivered. DDP also ensures faster customs clearance and predictable, lower landed costs since it is managed by our service provider's network.
We offer International Standard and International Express shipping options where available. Standard International Shipping typically takes 6-14 business days after fulfillment, while Express International Shipping typically takes just 2-5 business days after fulfillment. Fulfillment usually takes less than 24 hours. However, we do not make any guarantees on shipping or arrival times. You will receive a tracking number and link once your item(s) have been fulfilled at our warehouse.
The cost of shipping your order depends on your location, the size of your order, and the service level you choose for international shipping (Standard vs. Express). Our commitment to you is that we are 100% transparent with all international DDP shipping costs in terms of shipping rates and landed costs (i.e. duties and taxes/fees), so that there will be no additional costs for you when your package arrives.
We do not provide free international shipping or free international returns. For international returns, customers must pay the current international shipping rate from your location back to us.
Important International Checkout Note: Most international customs offices require both an e-mail address and a phone number, so please be sure to input your e-mail address and phone number at checkout to prevent your order from being unnecessarily held at customs.
How long does it take to process returns and refunds?
It typically takes 7-10 days to process returns from the time the products are received by our distribution center. We are not a dishonest company, so rest assured, you will receive a refund if you initiate a return within 30 days of the date of purchase and return your product(s) to us. Refunds will not be issued if we do not receive the returned product(s) from you or if we receive incomplete sets. Customers returning products from Hawaii, Alaska, or other countries are responsible for return shipping at the current market shipping rates. Processing returns from Hawaii, Alaska, and other countries typically takes 10-14 days but may take longer depending on when we receive the returned product. Returns for payments made with installments may take up to 21 days or longer.
What do you do with returned bedding?
We do not resell returned bedding. We donate it to domestic violence shelters or homeless shelters.
May I use more than one coupon code?
Sorry, our site only accepts one coupon code per order. We offer 10% off of your first order and 15% to military, first responders, nurses, and teachers available all the time.
WHERE IS MY COUPON CODE?
If your e-mail address is already subscribed to our list, then our system will not send a second coupon code. If you subscribed to our e-mail list for the first time or registered for a vocational discount and you did not receive your coupon code, the e-mail most likely went into your spam folder. In order to find the opt-in e-mail to get your coupon, it is important to login to your actual e-mail provider (i.e. gmail, yahoo, etc.) and look inside your spam/junk folder there. Oftentimes, e-mails caught in spam folders do not show in the spam folders of Outlook or other e-mail service providers, so the solution is to login to your actual e-mail host and view your spam e-mail there.
